B.C. to Hire 500 COVID-19 Contact Tracers – August 12, 2020
At a news conference in Victoria, British Columbia Premier John Horgan announces that the province will be hiring 500 health-care professionals to work as COVID-19 contact tracers. The tracers will begin work in September and are expected to stay on until at least March 2021. The premier is joined by Adrian Dix, the B.C. minister of health, and Dr. Bonnie Henry, the provincial health officer.
