COVID-19: Quebec Launches Police Operation To Enforce Public-Health Rules
In a news conference in Québec City, Quebec Deputy Premier and Public Security Minister Geneviève Guilbault announces a major police operation aimed at enforcing public-health measure to control the spread of COVID-19 in the province. Police in all Quebec regions will visit 1,000 bars and restaurants that serve alcohol to crack down on businesses that are violating public-health rules. The minister is joined by Johanne Beausoleil (acting Sûreté du Quebec director), Robert Pigeon (Quebec City police director) and Sylvain Caron (Montreal police director).
