Yukon COVID-19 Update: Territory Extends State of Emergency – September 9, 2020
In Whitehorse, John Streicker, Yukon’s minister of community services, and Dr. Brendan Hanley, chief medical officer of health, provide an update on the territory’s response to COVID-19 (coronavirus). Although there are no confirmed cases in the territory, Yukon is extending its state of emergency for an additional 90 days as the pandemic continues to pose a risk to Yukoners. The territory first declared a state of emergency on March 27, and later extended it on June 12. (no interpretation)
