Ontario Premier on COVID-19, Increased Mental-Health Funding – Oct. 7, 2020
At a news conference in Toronto, Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Christine Elliott (health minister), and Michael Tibollo (associate minister of mental health and addictions) provide an update on their government’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. They announce an additional $176 million to help expand access for mental health and addictions supports during the pandemic. This funding is part of the province's investment of $3.8 billion over 10 years aimed at improving various sectors of Ontario’s health system. (no interpretation)
