COVID-19: Ontario Details New Restrictions for Toronto, Ottawa, Peel
In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Dr. David Williams (Ontario’s chief medical officer of health), Dr. Dirk Huyer (Ontario’s chief coroner and executive lead, COVID-19 Testing Approach), and Adalsteinn Brown (the dean of the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto), discuss new restrictions aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) in Ontario. Starting October 10, indoor dining, gyms, cinemas and casinos in the Toronto, Ottawa, and Peel regions will have to shut down for at least the next 28 days. The announcement comes as the province sets another new single-day record for confirmed COVID-19 cases. (October 9, 2020) (no interpretation)
