COVID-19: Canada Responds
Quebec Update on COVID-19, Halloween – October 15, 2020
In Montreal, Quebec Premier François Legault provides an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Christian Dubé, Quebec’s minister of health and social services, and Dr. Horacio Arruda, the province’s director of public health. The premier announces that children will be allowed to go trick-or-treating on Halloween provided that certain measures such as social distancing are applied. He also suggests that some of the public-health measures currently in effect in red zones may remain beyond the initially-announced period of 28 days. Restrictions are due to expire on October 28.
