COVID-19: Quebec Health Minister Provides Update, Comments on Studies
At a news conference in Montreal, Christian Dubé, Quebec’s minister of health, provides an update on the province’s response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. He is joined by Dr. Horacio Arruda, Quebec’s director of public health. Dubé comments on forecasts from the Institut national d’excellence en santé et en services sociaux which conclude that the restrictions put in place by the province had a positive impact on the infections curve. He also comments on another study from the Institut national de santé publique du Québec that recommends reducing social contacts by 25 per cent in order to further limit the spread of COVID-19.
