COVID-19: Canada Responds
COVID-19 in Manitoba: Impact on Health-Care Staff – October 26, 2020
In Winnipeg, Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba’s chief medical officer of health, provides an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. He is joined by Lanette Siragusa, the provincial lead of health system integration and quality as well as chief nursing officer for Shared Health. Siragusa says COVID-19 is greatly affecting health-care system staff, as workers must self-isolate after being infected by a patient. She adds that help to respond to staffing issues will be announced on October 28. Both health officials urge people to stay home if they are sick.
