Quebec Premier on COVID-19 Transparency, Fines for Gyms That Defy Health Rules
Quebec Premier François Legault speaks with reporters in Quebec City before question period at the National Assembly. He provides an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The premier defends the transparency of his government, which was criticized by the opposition after he announced that the restrictions in red zones were going to be extended for an additional 28 days. Legault also announces that fines may be issued to gym owners if they open their facilities in defiance of public-health orders. Clients who go to these gyms will also be fined.
