COVID-19: Canada Responds

Quebec Premier on COVID-19, Ethics Commissioner’s Report – October 29, 2020

In Quebec City, Quebec Premier François Legault provides an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Christian Dubé, Quebec’s minister of health and social services, and Dr. Horacio Arruda, the province’s director of public health. The premier also faces questions from reporters on the provincial ethics commissioner’s report on Economy Minister Pierre Fitzgibbon, who met with a friend to discuss three projects. The ethics commissioner says Fitzgibbon has violated the National Assembly’s ethics code. Premier Legault is recommending his MNAs to vote in favor of the reprimand proposed by the ethics commissioner (October 29, 2020) (no interpretation)
