Ontario Premier Doug Ford Provides COVID-19 Update – December 22, 2020

In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Ontario Premier Doug Ford provides an update on his government’s response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by provincial cabinet ministers Christine Elliott (health) and Stephen Lecce (education), as well as associate minister Bill Walker (energy). The update comes as the entire province prepares to enter a lockdown beginning on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Strict public-health measures aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19 will remain in place for a minimum of 28 days in southern Ontario and 14 days in northern Ontario. (no interpretation)
