Quebec Update on Additional COVID-19 Measures in Schools
At a news conference in Montreal, Jean-François Roberge, Quebec’s minister of education, provides an update on the additional measures to be applied in schools amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He is joined by Dr. Richard Massé, strategic medical advisor with Quebec’s public health department. On January 6, Premier Legault announced that the return to class for high school students will be delayed until January 18. Elementary schools will re-open on January 11, 2021, as planned, but students will have to wear masks in corridors. Students in grades 5 and 6 will also need to wear them in classrooms. Dr. Massé also provides public health recommendations regarding ventilation in schools.(January 8, 2021) (No interpretation)
