COVID-19: Canada Responds
Nova Scotia Tightens Border with New Brunswick – January 8, 2021
In Halifax, Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia’s chief medical officer of health, and Premier Stephen McNeil provide an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. They announce that, starting January 9, 2021, at 8:00 AM, all travellers coming from New Brunswick will have to do a mandatory 14-day quarantine. Nova Scotians travelling back from New Brunswick will have to undergo the same procedure. Some groups may fall under the exceptions, such as workers crossing the border. These new measures take place as New Brunswick has been facing a surge of COVID-19 cases. (No interpretation)
