COVID-19 Restrictions Extended by Two Weeks in Manitoba – January 8, 2021
In Winnipeg, Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba’s chief public health officer, provides an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Lanette Siragusa, the provincial lead of health system integration and quality as well as chief nursing officer for Shared Health. The current COVID-19 restrictions have been extended until January 22, 2021, as the province records 355 new cases, mostly linked to Holiday gatherings. The orders include an exemption allowing the Winnipeg Jets hockey team to compete against other teams and practice. (no interpretation)
