COVID-19 in Ontario: Province to Increase Retail Inspections – January 14, 2021

In a virtual news conference, Monte McNaughton, Ontario’s minister of labour, training and skills development, announces that the province intends to increase inspections of big-box retail stores in Toronto, Hamilton, York, Peel, and Durham, over the coming days. The blitz will target violations of public-health measures that are aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19. The announcement comes as a province-wide stay-at-home order takes effect in Ontario.
