COVID-19 in New Brunswick: Moncton, Saint John & Fredericton Move to Red Level
In Fredericton, Dr. Jennifer Russell, New Brunswick's chief medical officer of health, and Premier Blaine Higgs provide an update on the province's response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. They announce that Zone 1 (Moncton region), Zone 2 (Saint John region) and Zone 3 (Fredericton region) are moving to the red level of alert at midnight. The three zones join Zone 4 (Edmundston region), which was moved to the highest alert level on January 18 following an increase in the number of cases. Schools will remain open in red level areas.
