Federal Health Officials Discuss Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine Approval

At a news conference on Parliament Hill, Dr. Supriya Sharma, chief medical adviser at Health Canada, and Dr. Marc Berthiaume, the director of the Bureau of Medical Science at Health Canada, discuss Health Canada’s authorization of the use of the Johnson & Johnson Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. Johnson & Johnson is the first single-dose vaccine to be approved for use in Canada, and the fifth COVID-19 vaccine Health Canada has approved. It can also be stored in a regular refrigerator for a three-month period. (March 5, 2021)
