Special COVID-19 Measures Extended in Quebec Regions of Concern – April 13, 2021
In Quebec City, Quebec Premier François Legault provides an update on the province's response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He is joined by Christian Dubé, Quebec's Health and Social Services minister, and Dr. Horacio Arruda, the provincial director of public health. The Premier announces that special measures already in effect in the Gatineau, MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais, Quebec City and Chaudières-Appalaches regions will be extended until April 25. Moreover, these measures will apply to all of the Outaouais and Chaudières-Appalaches regions as of April 14. These restrictions include closing schools and non essential businesses. Mr. Legault further announces that the Côte-Nord region will move from the yellow to the orange alert level due to an increase in new COVID-19 cases. Additionally, the Health minister announces that essential workers and people with chronic illnesses can begin booking vaccination appointments on April 14. (no interpretation)
