N.S. Pauses AstraZeneca Vaccine First Doses, Implements Paid Sick Leave
In Halifax, Iain Rankin, the premier of Nova Scotia, and Dr. Robert Strang, the province's chief medical officer of health, provide an update on the provincial response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. The premier announces that the province will pause the administering of first doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, citing rare blood clots concerns and an increase in supply of the mRNA vaccines.
