COVID-19: Canada Responds
Nunavut Update on COVID-19: No New Cases Reported – May 17, 2021
In Iqaluit, Joe Savikataaq, premier of Nunavut, and Dr. Michael Patterson, Nunavut’s chief medical officer of health, provide an update on the territory’s response to COVID-19 (coronavirus disease). The territory is not reporting any new cases of COVID-19, with 65 active cases. Dr. Patterson says Nunavut has submitted a request to the federal government for enough doses of the Pfizer vaccine to vaccinate all teenagers against COVID-19 in the territory. The territorial government will be able to plan and implement a rollout once the number of doses it will receive is confirmed. (no interpretation)
