COVID-19 in Nunavut: 12 New Cases Reported – May 14, 2021
In Iqaluit, Joe Savikataaq, premier of Nunavut, Dr. Michael Patterson, Nunavut’s chief medical officer of health, Lorne Kusugak, minister of health, and George Hickes, minister of finance, provide an update on the territory’s response to COVID-19 (coronavirus disease). The territory is reporting 12 new COVID-19 cases. Dr. Patterson says much of the spread of new cases is due to unsafe indoor gatherings involving multiple households where masks were not worn.
