Manitoba Launches $2M Lottery to Encourage COVID-19 Vaccination –June 9, 2021

At a news conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister discusses measures aimed at encouraging people to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. He announces the province is launching a lottery with nearly 2 million dollars in cash prizes and scholarship for Manitobans who will get the COVID-19 vaccine. Individuals aged 12 and over who have been vaccinated by certain deadlines will automatically be entered in the lottery. The premier is joined by Manny Atwal, the president and CEO of Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries. (no interpretation)
