COVID-19: Canada Responds
P.E.I. Update on COVID-19 – June 15, 2021
In Charlottetown, Dennis King, the premier of Prince Edward Island, Dr. Heather Morrison, the chief public health officer of P.E.I., and Marion Dowling, Health P.E.I.’s COVID-19 response lead, provide an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. Starting June 23, Atlantic Canadians will be able to apply for a P.E.I. pass, which will allow them to travel and return to the province without self-isolating. Vaccinated non-residents who do not apply for a P.E.I. pass may have to self-isolate and may be denied entry. Non-Atlantic Canadians will be allowed to travel to P.E.I. starting July 28. The province is reporting no active cases for the first time since November 2020. (No interpretation)
