Manitoba Leaders' Debate - August 28, 2019
Manitoba political party leaders go head-to-head in a debate in Winnipeg, less than two weeks before the September 10 provincial election. Progressive Conservative Leader Brian Pallister, NDP Leader Wab Kinew, Liberal Leader Dougald Lamont, and Green Party Leader James Beddome debate the most significant issues facing the province. Red River College journalism instructor Joanne Kelly serves as moderator, with journalists Richard Cloutier (Global), Marcy Markusa (CBC) and Jeff Keele (CTV) putting questions to the party leaders. Incumbent Premier Pallister called the election more than a year earlier than the fixed election date of October 6, 2020.
