Green Leadership: Elizabeth May Delivers Farewell Speech – October 3, 2020

Elizabeth May, the former leader of the Green Party of Canada, delivers a farewell address in Ottawa as the party awaits the results of its election to choose her successor. May announced on November 4, 2019, that she was stepping down as leader after 13 years in the role. She made history in 2011 when she became the first Green party candidate to be elected to the House of Commons. May will continue to sit as a member of Parliament and will remain the party’s parliamentary leader.
