Ministers Comment on Tentative Agreement To End CN Rail Strike
Labour Minister Filomena Tassi and Transport Minister Marc Garneau speak with reporters in Ottawa about the tentative agreement reached by Teamsters Canada Rail Conference, the union representing the rail sector, and CN Railway to end the week-long labour dispute at the railway. Approximately 3,200 workers at the railroad walked off the job on November 19 over safety concerns and CN's demand for a lifetime cap on prescription drug benefits. Regular CN operations are to resume tomorrow across the country. (November 26, 2019)
