Transport Minister on Guernsey, Sask., Train Derailment
Speaking with reporters ahead of question period, Transport Minister Marc Garneau discusses the derailment of a CP freight train near the hamlet of Guernsey, Sask. The train, which was carrying crude oil, jumped the tracks and subsequently caught fire. This is the second CP train derailment near the small community within the last two months. The minister announces that he is putting in place a nation-wide ministerial order to restrict the speed of trains carrying dangerous goods to a maximum limit of 25 miles per hour.
