B.C. to Launch Lung Cancer Screening Program – September 14, 2020

British Columbia Premier John Horgan holds a news conference in Victoria to announce that his government is launching a province-wide lung cancer screening program, the first such initiative in Canada. He is joined via teleconference by Adrian Dix, B.C.’s health minister. Dr. Kim Chi, chief medical officer and vice-president of BC Cancer, also takes part in the announcement via videoconference from Vancouver. The program is expected to start by the spring of 2022. The premier also responds to questions on the possibility of a provincial general election this fall. (no interpretation)
