Conservatives on Party's Motion for COVID-19 Study – October 22, 2020
At a news conference on Parliament Hill, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole discusses his party’s opposition day motion, which calls on the House of Commons to instruct the Standing Committee on Health to undertake a study of the government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He is joined by deputy leader Candice Bergen and health critic Michelle Rempel Garner. Rempel Garner's motion also calls on the government to release documents related to the pandemic. She tabled her motion for a study at the health committee on October 9, but Liberal members of the committee began a filibuster and prevented a vote on the motion.
