Conservative MPs Discuss Concerns About Medical-Assistance-in-Dying Bill

In a news conference on Parliament Hill, Conservative MP Michael Cooper, a member of the House of Commons justice committee, and his colleague Tamara Jansen speak with reporters on Parliament Hill about some of the concerns raised by Indigenous, disability and medical communities regarding Bill C-7, the federal government’s revised legislation concerning medical assistance in dying. They are joined by members of the organization Physicians Together with Vulnerable Canadians. On October 29, MPs voted to refer the bill to the justice committee for consideration.
