Ontario Increasing Mental-Health Services for Indigenous Peoples
Christine Elliott, the deputy premier of Ontario and minister of health, holds a virtual news conference to make a funding announcement. She is joined by Michael Tibollo, the province’s associate minister of mental health and addictions. They announce a $12.8- million investment to expand and enhance culturally appropriate mental health and addictions services for Indigenous peoples, families and communities across Ontario. This funding is part of the $176 million invested by the provincial government to increase access to mental health and addictions supports during the COVID-19 pandemic.
