Quebec Ministers Respond to Laurent Commission Report on Youth Protection

At a press conference in Quebec City, Lionel Carmant, Quebec associate minister for health and social services, and Mathieu Lacombe, minister of families, react to the report by the Special Commission on the Rights of the Child and Youth Protection. Chaired by Régine Laurent, the commission proposes youth protection agency reforms. It was created following the death of a 7-year-old girl in Granby, in 2019, who had suffered severe abuse.
