Quebec Premier Outlines Legislation to Revamp Language Bill 101 – May 13, 2021

Quebec Premier François Legault speaks with reporters in Quebec City after the tabling of Bill 96 on French as the official and common language in Quebec. This legislation will revamp Bill 101, which aims to protect the French language in Quebec. Bill 96 includes a complaints system for stores that can’t serve customers in French and a ceiling on the number of students allowed to attend English CEGEPs or colleges.
