Alberta Launches Anti-Hate Crime Program – June 11, 2021

Speaking with reporters at a mosque in Edmonton, Jason Kenney, the premier of Alberta, and Kaycee Madu, the province’s justice minister, announce a new program intended to protect religious and cultural organizations from hate-motivated crimes. Starting in the fall, mosques, synagogues, churches, and other facilities that qualify will be able to apply for grants for security improvements and training.
