Alberta Launches Anti-Hate Crime Program – June 11, 2021
Speaking with reporters at a mosque in Edmonton, Jason Kenney, the premier of Alberta, and Kaycee Madu, the province’s justice minister, announce a new program intended to protect religious and cultural organizations from hate-motivated crimes. Starting in the fall, mosques, synagogues, churches, and other facilities that qualify will be able to apply for grants for security improvements and training. The speakers are joined by members of the Al Rashid Mosque. (no interpretation)
