Karina Gould on Online Electoral Integrity – May 27, 2019

In the House of Commons, Democratic Institutions Minister Karina Gould releases Canada’s declaration on electoral integrity, which will guide social media companies about their responsibilities for the 2019 federal election. Facebook and Microsoft are currently the only tech companies who have agreed to support the initiative.

Democratic institutions critics Stephanie Kusie (Conservative) and Daniel Blaikie (NDP) respond to the minister’s statement, along with Bloc Québécois House Leader Luc Thériault and Green Party Leader Elizabeth May.
