Emergency Debate on Teck Frontier Mine Project

Following a request by Conservative MP and natural resources critic Shannon Stubbs, MPs hold an emergency debate in the House of Commons on the Teck Frontier mine project. The request comes days after Teck Resources announced that it was withdrawing its regulatory application to build the proposed oilsands mine in northern Alberta. The Vancouver-based company’s announcement comes as the federal cabinet was expected to announce its decision this week on the $20-billion project. (February 25, 2020)
