Foreign Affairs - November 28, 2018: American and Canadian witnesses offer their perspectives on Canada’s export policies on firearms and ammunition, as part of the committee’s study of Bill C-47, an act to amend the Export and Import Permits Act and the Criminal Code concerning the Arms Trade Treaty. Forming the first panel of witnesses are Kevin Wolf (former U.S. assistant secretary of Commerce for Export Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce), Michael Byers (University of British Columbia), and James Fergusson (University of Manitoba). Forming the second panel are Steve Torino and Tony Bernardo (Canadian Shooting Sports Association), Gary Stanley (Global Legal Services, P.C.), as well as Christyn Cianfarani (Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries).
