National Security and Defence - April 3, 2019 - Part 1: The committee continues its study of Bill C-71, the government’s proposed gun control legislation, with testimony from the owner of a business specializing in supplying firearm props to the film industry. Bill C-71 would enhance required background checks, change authorization to transport rules, and require retailers to record of all firearm sales and inventories. The committee also hears from a doctor, who discusses his own personal use of firearms. Appearing as witnesses are Movie Armaments Group’s Charles Taylor and Dr. Michael Ackermann as an individual.
