National Security and Defence - May 2, 2019: Communications Security Establishment Commissioner Jean-Pierre Plouffe and Security Intelligence Review Committee chair Pierre Blais weigh in on Bill C-59, the federal government’s proposed overhaul of Canada’s national security laws. The bill would enact a number of Acts including the Intelligence Commissioner Act. The two witnesses outline the duties of the intelligence commissioner and discuss the mandate of the bill.
