Senate Workforce Diversity, Usher Service

Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration – June 6, 2019:

Diane McCullagh, chief human resources officer for the Senate, provides an update on the Senate Administration’s progress in addressing recommendations made by the Subcommittee on Diversity in its report about diversity in the Senate workforce. The recommendations aim to increase the representation of four designated employment equity groups.

Senators also question Pierre Lanctôt, the Senate’s chief financial officer, and Julie Lacroix, from the corporate security directorate, about the contract to hire a private security company for usher positions in the Senate’s new building.
