Senators Study Relief Bill for Businesses

National Finance – November 12, 2020 – Part 2:

In a virtual committee, members continue their study of Bill C-9, a bill to provide financial aid to businesses hard-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. If passed, the bill would extend the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) until summer 2021 and would revamp the Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS).

Speaking to the committee are the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business’ Tabetha Bull, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Alla Drigola, the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal’s Michel Leblanc, and the Hotel Association of Canada’s Susie Grynol.
