The committee continues its pre-study on the government's assisted dying legislation (C-14). The first panel is made up of the following witnesses: Dr. Karen R. Cohen (Canadian Psychological Association), Dr. Francine Lemire (College of Family Physicians of Canada) and Philip Emberley (Canadian Pharmacists Association). MPs then hear from Barreau du Québec representatives Marc Sauvé, Giuseppe Battista and Jean-Pierre Ménard, Francoise Hebert and Nino Sekopet (both from End of Life Planning Canada), and Dr. Will Johnston (Euthanasia Prevention Coalition of British Columbia, as an individual).
