New Canada-China Relations Committee Meets for First Time

Special Committee on Canada-China Relations – January 20, 2020:

The new special parliamentary committee on Canada-China relations meets for the first time. MPs work out procedural rules for the new committee, including the party composition of the committee’s subcommittee and whether the subcommittee’s mandate should be to work by consensus. Members also debate when Dominic Barton, Canada’s ambassador to China, should be called in to brief the committee.
