Special COVID-19 Committee: Trudeau’s Protest Attendance

Special Committee on the COVID-19 Pandemic – June 8, 2020:

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland defends the prime minister’s attendance of an anti-Black racism protest while social distancing guidelines are still in effect. The deputy prime minister also faces questions about seasonal workers and systemic racism in Canada.

The special committee comprises all 338 MPs and will meet in a hybrid meeting format, which combines MPs in the chamber with others joining by video link.
