Minister Bibeau on Compensation for Poultry and Egg Industries

Agriculture and Agri-Food – December 10, 2020:

Agriculture Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau faces questions over the government’s financial compensation to Canada’s poultry and egg farmers. In light of Canada signing the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) free trade deals, the federal government is compensating Canada’s dairy, poultry, and egg sectors.

Also responding to questions is the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food’s Annette Gibbons.
