Aluminium and GAFA – January 29, 2020
The Bloc Québécois believes that the Quebec aluminum industry will not benefit from the new Canada–United States–Mexico Agreement and are therefore against fast-tracking the ratification of NAFTA 2.0. Meanwhile, the expert panel’s report on the future of telecommunications was tabled on Wednesday and is unequivocal: web giants must do their part.
Esther Bégin takes stock of the day with CPAC journalist Marc-André Cossette, Jean Simard, president and CEO of the Aluminum Association of Canada, and Monique Simard, member of the expert panel for the review of Canadian broadcasting and telecommunications legislation.
Also on the program: political observers Sheila Copps, Farouk Karim, Daniel Bernier and Richard Nadeau.
