Great Canadian Debate – Should the Senate Be Abolished

The Macdonald-Laurier Institute hosts The Great Canadian Debates, a series of debates exploring some of the most compelling issues to Canadians. The first debate in the 2015 season considers the statement: “Canada’s Senate is beyond saving and must be abolished.” Political writer and broadcaster Tasha Kheiriddin argues for the resolution and Stanley Hartt, a former chief of staff to Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, argues against.
