Senators Pay Tribute to the Victims of London, Ont., Attack – June 8, 2021

Senators Marc Gold (the government representative in the Senate), Don Plett (the leader of the Opposition in the Senate), Yuen Pau Woo (the facilitator of the Independent Senators Group), Scott Tannas (the leader of the Canadian Senators Group), Jane Cordy (the leader of the Progressive Senate Group), and Salma Ataullahjan pay tribute to the victims of the June 6, 2021, attack on a Muslim family in London, Ontario. Four members of the family were killed and a fifth, a nine-year-old boy, was seriously injured when they were struck by a pickup truck driven by a 20-year-old man. Police have said that it was a targeted attack motivated by hate.
