The Democracy Project is based on the belief that Canadian democracy is healthier when everyone feels they have a reason to participate and a reason to take an active role in their governance.
That belief is founded on the understanding that political engagement is essential to the health of our democracy. But to achieve it, Canadians deserve access to factual, balanced and unbiased information as well as meaningful access to a variety of views and voices.
With that in mind, CPAC has brought together like-minded partners to launch The Democracy Project. This nationwide initiative has a common goal: to promote political literacy that will help Canadians understand how they can play a role in shaping our nation.
