In Ottawa, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau makes an announcement concerning Canada’s plan to meet its climate-change targets. The prime minister is joined by ministers Jonathan Wilkinson (environment and climate change), Steven Guilbeault (Canadian Heritage), and Catherine McKenna (infrastructure and communities). In November, the federal government introduced Bill C-12, legislation that establishes a framework for meeting emissions targets. Canada has pledged to achieve net-zero greenhouse-gas emissions by 2050.
